Computed Radiography Detector Market Sales Market | Latest Development and Growth Analysis 2016-2021
Global
Computed
Radiography Detector Market is
segmented on the basis of product type, application, and region. Computed
radiography was the first available digital technology for projection
radiography. CR technology is based in SPS and its first clinical application
by Fuji took place at the early 1980s.CR systems use storage-phosphor image
plates with a separate image readout process and DR technology converts X-Rays
into electrical charges by means of a readout process using TFT arrays.
CR
technology allows the radiographer to obtain plain radiography images like in a
traditional SF system. Computed radiography (CR) cassettes use photo-stimulated
luminescence screens to capture the X-ray image, instead of traditional X-ray
film. The CR cassette goes into a reader to convert the data into a digital
image.

Computed
radiography systems consist of an assembly of an imaging plate, an optical
reading system, and an acquisition system. In the imaging plate, the incoming
radiation is first absorbed in a sensitive layer and subsequently converted to
optical photons. Then the latent image is read through an optical system and
converted into an electrical signal, and eventually into grey values.
CR
helps eliminate many of the disadvantages of traditional radiography. A storage
phosphor plate collects the pattern of x-ray attenuation that is extracted by a
reader, which converts the data into a digital signal. The image is stored like
any computer file and can be viewed on a computer screen, transmitted
electronically, or printed out on paper or transparent film, similar to x-ray
film. Computer software allows manipulation of the digital image to develop
viewing.
CR
does represent the digital technology to directly replace screen-film imaging
at a low initial investment cost, and multiple size cassettes do let the proper
detector size for being used for various procedures, and provide the ultimate
thing in positioning flexibility for any examination are the factors that boost
the market growth. Moreover, convenience, flexibility, initial costs, and ease
of implementation are the hallmarks of cassette based CR detectors which are
responsible for the market growth.
Computed
Radiography Detector Market is
segmented, by product type Photostimulable Storage Phosphor (PSP) [Phosphor
Plate, Cassette Holder], Photostimulated Luminescence. Computed Radiography
Detector Market is segmented, by application Medical (Static and Dynamic
Imaging), Dental, Security, Veterinary, Industrial. The market for static
imaging is further classified into general radiography and mammography. The
market for dynamic imaging is sub-segmented into surgical imaging, general
fluoroscopy, and cardiovascular imaging.
Computed
Radiography Detector Market is segmented, geographically into North America,
